K Vac Coryza

Coryza Disease Vaccine

Inactivated oil emulsion vaccine for active immunization of chickens against Coryza (Haemophilus paragallinarum infection).

  • K Vac Coryza is produced with high concentrations of the Serotype A strain 221 and Serotype C antigens of Haemophilus paragallinarum. These are the serotypes that most commonly infect chicken flocks. High concentrations of these strains are suspended in a stable oil emulsion.
  • When injected, the oil emulsion controls the absorption of the antigen and greatly enhances the development of high levels of immunity.

Each dose contains not less than 2 x 108.0 CFU Haemophilus paragallinarum bacterin sero type A and sero type C.

  • K Vac Coryza has been developed for use in chickens. A dose of bacterin contains a large amount of inactivated Haemophilus paragallinarum. Two inoculations, given in the late growing period, produce high levels of immunity to protect the flock, especially in areas having a high risk of infectious coryza outbreaks.

  • K Vac Coryza is completely safe because it contains no living bacteria. It can be safely administered to chickens 6 weeks of age or older. It can be used to check the spread of infection in flocks where Infectious Coryza has been diagnosed.
  • It can not spread from vaccinated to susceptible flocks. The immunity produced is of long duration.
