Fowl Cholera Disease Vaccine

  Inactivated oil emulsion vaccine for chickens and turkeys to immunize against Pasteurella Multocida Infections (Fowl Cholera).

Description

  • K Vac FC3 is produced with three serotypes of Pasteurella Multocida Bacterin, Avian isolates, Types 1,3 & 4. These are the serotypes that most commonly infect chicken and turkey flocks.
  • High concentrations of these strains are suspended in a stable oil emulsion. When injected, the oil emulsion controls the absorption of the antigen and greatly enhances the development of high levels of immunity.

Composition

Each dose contains not less than a pre-inactivation titer of 2 x 108 CFU Pasteurella Multocida (Serotype 1,3 & 4).

Indications

  • K Vac FC3 has been developed for use in chickens and turkeys. A dose of bacterin contains a large amount of inactivated Pasteurella multocida. Two inoculations, given In the late growing period, produce high levels of immunity to protect the flock through the critical early period of production when fowl Cholera usually strikes.

Advantages

  • K Vac FC3 is completely safe because it contains no living bacteria. It can safely be administered at any age.
  • It can safely be used to check the spread of infection in flocks where fowl cholera has been diagnosed.
  • It can not spread from vaccinated to susceptible flocks. The immunity produced is of long duration.

Dosage & Use

  • For Breeder hens & Commercial Layers
    Vaccinate between 12 and 16 weeks of age. Revaccinate 4 to 6 weeks later.
  • For Turkeys
    Vaccinate between 20 and 24 weeks of age. Revaccinate 4 to 6 weeks later.
  • Dosage is 1/2ml (0.5ml) per bird.
  • Vaccine should be brought to room temperature (+18°C to +20°C) before use.
  • Inject subcutaneously into the lower or middle neck region using aseptic technique. inject all birds in flock.

Precautions

  1. Shake well before and during administration.
  2. Vaccinate only healthy birds.
  3. To avoid loss in efficacy and to prevent contamination, use entire contents of bottles when first opened.
  4. Do not vaccinate during 42 days before slaughter.
  5. All used bottles and unused content should be disposed safely.

Storage

Store between + 2°C (35°F) to 7°C (45°F). Do not freeze.

Packing

Is available in 500 ml. polypropylene bottles of 1000 dose sizes.
